There once was a craftsman named Charlie. Charlie loved to work with wood. In fact, he loved to work with wood so much, that he started making wood toys and puzzles for others. One day, Charlie's daughter came up to him and asked with pleading eyes, "Daddy, I need a toy kitchen."
Charlie looked around at the toy kitchens available, and thought to himself, "Self, I can make my daughter a toy wood stove myself."

So he went to his shop and drew up some plans. He thought about what is required for a toy kitchen.
It needs to be durable. You know how kids are. So he designed it out of wood. It needs to be safe. So he used non-toxic finishes. It needs to be educational. So, he painted the burners red for "hot". Don't touch the hot burners! It needs to be imaginary but realistic. So he made knobs that turn, and he marked them to indicate to which burner each knob belonged. He also painted on a clock and a temperature gauge. At last the toy kitchen stove was complete, and he could present it to his daughter.
She was ecstatic. She play and played and played with the toy stove. And after several weeks, she started thinking, "I need a toy refrigerator to go along with my toy stove. Then my toy kitchen will be complete."
So she went back to Daddy with those pleading eyes. Charlie promised her that he will make toy refrigerator for her as soon as he could.
Well, you what "as soon as I can" means. It is like someone telling you "just a minute" and an hour goes by. So his daughter waited patiently for he new toy kitchen refrigerator. And waited. And waited some more. Then one day (about two years later) Charlie gave her the new refrigerator. Her wood toy kitchen was complete. Or was it?
Evidently Charlie did not think so. Because he went on to create a wood toy kitchen sink. He made a microwave. He also created a great wood toy cupboard with storage above and below a counter. After all, you know how those kitchen toys multiply. And if that was not enough, he created a dishwasher too. Now Charlie's wood toy kitchen set had all of the appliances any child could possibly want.
